Train
Santander train station is the arrival point for RENFE trains, which connect Santander directly to Madrid and other main cities like Alicante, Palencia and Valladolid. Through Madrid, you can also transfer to the other main coastal cities. FEVE trains connect Santander with Bilbao, Oviedo and Gijón.

Airport
Parayas is Santander Airport. It is situated 10 minutes far from the city centre and offers daily flights with the main spanish cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Gran Canaria, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla, Tenerife Norte y Valencia. There are international connections to Paris and Amsterdam too. Also the low cost airline company Ryanair operates with daily connections to: London Stansted, Frankfurt Hahn and Rome Ciampino.
Fifty minutes far from Santander, by the Cantabric Motorway, you can reach the International Airport La Paloma, which connects Cantabria with all the european cities.

By road
To reach Santander by car you can take the most suitable way:
* From Bayonne, Biarritz, San Sebastián y Bilbao by A-8 Motorway
* From Madrid, through Burgos city, by the N-623 road, and through
Palencia by the N-611 road.
* From La Coruña and Asturias by the N-634 road.
